Faroh's Finest Chocolates & Candy

Faroh's 'French Chocolate' is the best type of chocolate, at least in our state.

I got a box of candy for Christmas. I grew up in Lorain but have since moved to South Carolina. It was a great gift, as it brought back memories of when Farohs was at the base of the Henderson Bridge on the east side of Lorain. I loved it then, and this candy had the same special taste.

French chocolate eggs are awesome

Such good-tasting chocolate's. I love the Easter egg hunts! Everyone does such a great job!

I remember going to the Pearl Road store as a child. Pure heaven. Their Swiss chocolate carton eggs are the best! The Easter Bunny always puts them in our basket. After moving away from home, my father continued to send us each a couple cartons at Easter. Since his passing, I am continuing his tradition and sending them to his grandchildren. Faroh's is the best!

Born and raised in Lorain, my mother purchased this candy for our family consistently—it's devine! After moving, I ordered from Faroh's for my own children. I've never found any chocolates that could compare to their French chocolates! I also love their chocolate-covered dark cherries and, especially, the Swiss mallow with nuts! Prices have gotten too high for me, sadly! The shipping is astronomical.

As a little girl, I remember going to the Faroh's Store on Henderson and watching them make the chocolates with my siblings. What memories do we have of getting to sample them too? I'm so glad they stayed around for my daughter and son to enjoy. One likes the white French chocolate, and the other likes the French chocolate. No chocolate company can match or beat Faroh's. I am so glad to hear Mr. Faroh has sold it with all the receipes to Spectrum, and he still works as the head chocolatier. Thank you, Mr. Faroh, for your family and your father, who started it in the 1940's. The news is that many more children will get to have the chocolates in the future and build their memories when the new store and plant get built in Lorain.

Wow, the best chocolates ever! I grew up in Lorain, so it was a family favorite for every holiday. If you haven’t ever had some, it’s worth the trip.
